Flight Information

Trail Ridge Air, Inc. is an Air Taxi Service. Guided fishing trips and guided bear viewing trips utilize a participating lodge to providing the guide for that portion of the trip. All flights are conducted at the pilot’s discretion and are weather permitting. Cancellations & delays are possible; we recommend that you do not schedule tight travel connections. Trip Insurance is recommended.

Check-In Times

Flightsee Tours, Fly-Out Fishing & Lodge Customers: Please arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
Float Trip & Charter Customers: Please arrive 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure for check-in, cargo weighing and loading.

Baggage

A baggage limit of 50 pounds (including carry-on items, food/beverage & accessories) per customer is strictly enforced on flights. Duffel style luggage us preferred. Excess baggage is weighted and billed and flown on a space available statue.

Fish Coolers

Lodge customers traveling with coolers to take fish home are requested to store coolers at TRA while at lodge. Fish will be packed in heavy plastic bags at the lodge and can be transferred into your cooler once you arrive back to TRA.
Customers traveling to cabins or camping: 48 quart size coolers work best.

For your convenience, Trail Ridge Air offers insulated fish boxes available for $30/box.

What to Wear

Customers spending the day in the in the great outdoors whether flightseeing, bear viewing or fishing should keep in mind Alaska’s changing weather. We recommend layers: rainproof outerwear, insulated jacket, hat, gloves, hiking boots/appropriate footwear, sunscreen, lip balm, bug repellent. Medication taken on a daily basis for example; asthma, heart, allergies should be carried on your person in case of delays out in the field.

Booking Your Flight

Trail Ridge Air, Inc. books on a first call first serve basis.  A 50% deposit is required to hold your date, time and aircraft in our schedule.

Credit Card Transactions

All prices shown on Trail Ridge Air, Inc. website or quotes are cash prices. We impose a surcharge of 3.00% when paying with a credit card, which is not greater than our cost of acceptance. We do not surcharge debit cards

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations prior to two weeks (14 days) of scheduled departure; deposit will be refunded less a 10% processing fee.  Cancellations made between two weeks (1-14 days) of scheduled departure; deposit will not be refunded.

Cancellations due to Weather

All Flights are conducted at the pilot’s discretion and are weather permitting.  Trail Ridge Air, Inc. accepts no responsibility for delays or cancellations caused by weather, mechanical discrepancies, or any other circumstances.

Flights delayed due to weather are rescheduled at the first available opportunity as weather allows.  In the event that the flight is cancelled for weather issues by the Air Taxi; a full refund will be issued.
